MUSCAT: Oman’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, in his office in New York.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy and the accompanying delegation have arrived in the USA for a high-level political forum on sustainable development. The forum began on Wednesday, July 13 and will continue until July 15.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on a number of regional and international issues. The United Nations Secretary-General expressed his appreciation of Oman’s foreign policy and its efforts in maintaining stability on the security front in the region.

António Guterres also thanked the Omani government for the existing cooperation and coordination with the United Nations, especially with regard to the Yemen issue.
