MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked second best country in the Arab region for expats in 2022, a Germany-based network and guide for expats, Inter Nations revealed on Wednesday.
Oman stood second after the UAE, Bahrain came in third, followed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked 12th globally in Best Destinations Index for 2022 which includes 52 countries.
Mexico was ranked as the best country for expats for 2022, followed by Indonesia, Taiwan, Portugal and Spain.

Network Internationals said that in the Best Destinations Index for 2022, expats especially appreciated the ease of stability and their financial resources, especially in terms of prices and quality of housing, food and health care.
The index monitored the answers of about 12,000 people, covering expatriate satisfaction with quality of life, ease of settling and working abroad, personal finance in their country of residence, digital life, administrative matters, housing, and language.
