MUSCAT: A fraudulent message entitling the logos of official entities and local banks has been circulating in Oman.
The message claiming “your bank account will be frozen for security reasons” has been making the rounds in the Sultanate.
The Royal Oman Police has urged the residents in Oman to deny sharing their bank or card details to strangers or organisations claiming to be associated to the bank.

The authorities have advised people to take caution to avoid being a victim of cyber fraud.
