MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Hammad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, said that he was deeply shocked by the news of the shooting of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The minister is eager to receive updated news about former Japanese PM’s health conditions, His Excellency said in a tweet on Friday, July 8.
The Japanese broadcaster had said that gunshots were heard while Abe, 67, was giving a campaign speech outside a train station.

Shinzo Abe, who collapsed after being shot in the chest, was rushed to hospital where he is reported to be in “cardiopulmonary arrest.”
Japanese Police have identified the suspect arrested for shooting former prime minister Shinzo Abe on Friday as Tetsuya Yamagami, a 41-year-old resident of Nara City, according to local media.
