MUSCAT: Oman Flour Mills Company issued a disclosure stating that it received a letter from the government to support wheat starting from May 1, 2022.
The company explained that this aid comes due to the sharp rise in grain prices globally, and the government is keen to not increase flour prices in the local market.
The company confirmed that it will disclose the supporting data in their financial statements.

Wheat farmers in the Sultanate of Oman receive government incentives from seeds to marketing. Tons of seed varieties are distributed to the farmers and they are also provided with harvesting machines.
