MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Department in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiah were able to track down expatriate workers who were found trading and selling large quantities of used tires in a commercial establishment in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali.
This illegal trade was endangering the health and safety of consumers. Owing to the efforts taken by the authority in the various governorates of the Sultanate, the concerned official have been able to monitor the markets and put an end to the life-threatening malpractices in the area.
The illegal practices were causing harm to consumers and their safety, and the authorities could curb these malpractices committed by some suppliers, and combating the spread of unauthorised traded goods.
