Oman’s public revenue rises by 28.7%

The value of GDP at current prices increased by 16.1 percent.

MUSCAT: The state’s total public revenues increased by 28.7% by the end of 2021 to reach about OMR 10.9 billion.

The report “Analysis of the Economic Situation in the Sultanate of Oman” for the last quarter of 2021 indicates that the deficit recorded in the state’s general budget by the end of 2021 amounted to OMR1.2 billion, constituting 3.7% of the gross domestic product at current prices.

The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices increased by 16.1 percent by the end of 2021 to reach OMR 33 billion as a result of the increase in the average oil price by about 39.7 percent.
