MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked third in the Arab world in terms of the low cost of local transportation, the index issued by the global database Nambio stated.

The Sultanate was placed after the Emirates and Lebanon in terms of the low cost of local transportation.

Norway has been ranked as the country with the highest cost of local transportation in the world, followed by Iceland and Switzerland. A one-way ticket costs $3.99 in Norway.

Moldova is ranked as the country with the cheapest cost of local transportation. The price of a one-way ticket is $0.10, followed by Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan.

Algeria offers cheapest cost of local transportation among Arab countries, where the price of a one-way ticket is 0.17 dollars.
