MUSCAT: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued a clarification on widespread internet outage both in Oman and globally.
In a statement issued, TRA said the internet outage is due to a cut in the international submarine communications cables.
“The Authority would like to report that internet traffic has been affected at the international level, which has affected subscribers of all telecommunications companies in the Sultanate of Oman, due to a cut in the international submarine communication cables that carry internet services in the countries located on the cable route.”
