MOH advises citizens, residents in Oman to take vaccinations before leaving for Haj

The vaccines according to MOH will be available at health institutions from June 7 until July 3, 2022.

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health has urged citizens and residents who have received the approval to perform Haj pilgrimage to take the vaccinations before leaving to Saudi Arabia.

The vaccines according to MOH will be available at health institutions from June 7 until July 3, 2022.

According to the requirements of the competent authorities in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia the necessary vaccinations are:

  1. Covid 19 vaccine
    ( Getting two doses of the vaccine is adopted in the Sultanate)
  2. The Quadric vaccination against against Meningococcal Meningitis ( ACYW135)
  3. Seasonal flu vaccine.

“Therefore the Ministry of health urges all citizens and residents who want to perform the Haj pilgrimage this year( 1443 AH/ 2022) to adhere to taking the vaccination before travelling for not less than ten days. The above requirements are considered a prerequisite to entering the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard public health,” MOH added.
