MUSCAT: The window for submitting the applications for municipal council elections will be closed in nine hours, that is on Thursday, June 2.
The application submission window was open from Sunday, May 10, 2022 until Thursday, June 2, 2022. The 2020 municipal council elections were postponed due to the pandemic.
The municipal councils play crucial role in Oman’s development as they are entrusted with establishing cultural, entertainment and tourism festivals among other responsibilities.
