MUSCAT: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs will on Sunday 5 June 2022 conduct electronic sorting for people who e-registered for this year’s Haj Season 1443 AH.
The process has been arranged with pilgrims’ registration firms through a shared digital connection system.
As many as 23,474 people applied for the 1443 AH pilgrimage by 15 May 2022, of them 21,429 were Omanis and 2,045 residents in Oman.

The e-sorting will help pick up the ‘lucky’ applicants who will be included in Oman’s quota of 6,338 for this year, with 5,956 chances for Omani citizens and 200 for residents. This year, the number of pilgrims has been cut down by 45% due to coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
