MUSCAT: In a huge relief, electricity consumers holding two accounts or less in the residential category will get a 15% discount on the bills during the summer from May to August 2022.
The decision was taken on Tuesday during the Council of Ministers meeting headed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik.
“The cabinet approved additional support to reduce electricity consumption costs for subscribers with two accounts or less in the residential category by 15 percent during the summer months from May to August 2022,” Oman News Agency said in a statement.
