MUSCAT: The Duqm Economic Zone has announced that approximately 10 million square metres of the total land package is ready for implementing various industrial projects. The leveling and paving works of this area have been completed.
In the near future, the authority will work to strengthen the infrastructure of these lands by providing electricity, water and gas services making them ready for use for those who wish to start their industrial projects in the region.
The project of leveling and preparing industrial lands comes in response to the continuous growth witnessed by the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.

It also comes along with the completion of the installation of modern cranes in the port of Duqm, the arrival of the main gas line, and the facilities and incentives provided by the zone to investors, which enables clearing the procedures for land use applications easily and smoothly, and the construction of projects begins. investment.
Engineer Saleh bin Rashid Al Hashemi from the Special Economic Zone at Duqm said, “The zone is constantly seeking to provide an attractive investment environment by enriching the system of various facilities and incentives it offers to investors, in addition to working on developing its various electronic services and facilitating the procedures for submitting applications for land use and investment in Duqm. Any investor can submit his application and choose his land in the region from anywhere in the world, with the services and facilities necessary to start his project.”
He stressed the readiness of the industrial land plans, which are unique in the completion of the infrastructure and the comprehensive settlement of the specified lands. This enables the investor to build immediately without injecting more costs into the process of leveling and paving the land.
He also explained that these plans are characterised by their proximity to all services in the city centre and other facilities and projects in the region, as well as the existence of a network of paved roads leading to these lands.
The district administration is in the process of awarding a number of tenders to connect all the lands with an asphalt road network to facilitate access to it.
The Special Economic Zone at Duqm is considered the largest in the Middle East and North Africa, with an area of 2,000 square kilometres. It has well-equipped plans to attract commercial, tourism, economic and industrial investment projects, renewable energy projects, and others.
