MUSCAT: As Oman’s palm season begins, farmers and palm owners have started accepting bids to benefit from its fruits throughout the summer.
The prices of palm trees vary from OMR 10 to OMR 50 this season. The price also depends primarily on the palm type and the quality of the palm fruits. These fruits will be cooked in terms of the size of the fruit.
Approximately 5000 varied palm trees will be cooked in the wilayat of Ibri during this season. Over 660 palm trees in the town of Hajar, 400 trees in Salif, 180 palm trees in Al Najid and 200 trees in Adam.
