Recently, Oman actively participated in the 29th edition of Arabian Travel Market 2022 held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), a platform which caters to insights into the future of international travel and tourism.
With the pandemic’s drastic effects on the tourism industry worldwide, Oman has drummed up its efforts to bring this sector back on its feet. His Excellency Salim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism said, “Tourism is a potential sector in the Sultanate of Oman.”
His Excellency also stressed that the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has taken many steps to promote tourism in the Sultanate of Oman and is currently implementing 6 main pillars to accelerate the pace of growth in this sector.
Khareef Festival
With the annual Khareef Festival in Salalah just around the corner, Oman is gearing up to receive tourists pouring in from all parts of the world.
The Ministry of Tourism in Oman carries out this unique festival to celebrate the spectacular season which features some individual traditional performances along with some lip-smacking local Omani cuisines and beautiful handicrafts. You can expect parades, cultural shows, art concerts and much more during the much-awaited festival.
