Oman, Pakistan discuss establishing rice supply units

Omani Consul General gave a briefing on the investment opportunities in the Sultanate.

KARACHI: His Excellency Counsellor Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Mabsali, Consul General of the Sultanate of Oman in Karachi, held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan.

The delegation was headed by Muhammad Anwar Mayanor, First Vice-President of the Pakistan Rice Exporters Association, and a number of members of the association.

The Omani Consul General briefed the delegation on investment opportunities and great potentials in wheat, sugar, oil and other commodities, and about the possibility of establishing a joint venture to supply rice units in the Sultanate of Oman.

His Excellency also suggested sending a commercial delegation from the Pakistan Rice Exporters Association to Oman to hold meetings with their counterparts, stressing his full support and cooperation for the great success of this delegation.

On his part, Muhammad Anwar Mayanor said that Pakistani exporters need to explore more export opportunities to Oman.
