MUSCAT: Oman’s first national volleyball team is continuing its external camp in Bulgaria, in preparation for the 3rd Gulf Games in Kuwait which will be held from May 20 to 26.
The Omani team is training at the external camp from May 7 to 16, in two shifts – morning and evening.
The training has been preparing the players physically and mentally for the upcoming friendly matches with the first and Olympic teams of Bulgaria. The technical staff of Ahmar seeks to implement the strategic plans and tactics for each match. This would raise a sense of healthy competitive spirit among the players before entering the Gulf tournament.

The delegation of Oman’s national volleyball team arrived in Bulgaria last Saturday to head to Kuwait after the camp on May 16 to participate in the 3rd Gulf Games.
The technical staff has chosen 14 players: Hilal bin Juma Al-Muqbali, Saud bin Rashid Al-Maamari, Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Toubi, Muhammad bin Salem Al-Muqbali, Ismail bin Rashid Al-Haidi, Younis bin Salem Al-Amri, Khalid bin Nasser Al-Muqbali, Abdullah bin Salem Al-Muqbali, Khamis bin Thani Al-Jabri, Adam bin Rashid Al-Jalboubi, Youssef bin Rashid Al-Shukaili, Falah bin Salim Al-Jaradi and Mahmoud bin Khalifa Al-Saadi and Abdullah bin Mubarak Al-Shibli.
