MUSCAT: Cricket legend MS Dhoni will take over as Chennai Super Kings from Ravindra Jadeja after a poor start to the season.
In a statement issued CSK said Jadeja wanted to step aside to “focus more on his game”. MS Dhoni had walked away from the job before the season started but will take over from Jadeja as skipper for the rest of the season, CSK said.
“Ravindra Jadeja has decided to relinquish captaincy to focus and concentrate more on his game & has requested MS Dhoni to lead CSK. MS Dhoni has accepted to lead CSK in the larger interest & to allow Jadeja to focus on his game,” CSK added.
