MUSCAT: The Ministry of Interior has issued a clarification regarding the municipal council candidacy for 2020.
The ministry has requested the candidates to re-submit their application for the municipal council elections via the official website (www.elections.om). The 2020 municipal council elections were postponed due to the pandemic.
The ministry also stated that the application submission window will be open from Sunday, May 10, 2022 until Thursday, June 2, 2022.

The ministry also stressed that it will not consider any application submitted in 2020.
