MUSCAT: A total of 447 prisoners were released through Fak Kurba initiative.
The campaign, Fak Kurba – which is Arabic for redeeming anguish – was launched by the Oman Lawyers Association (OLA) in 2012. Since then the campaign has helped thousands of prisoners.
In a statement issued by the Oman News Agency said 447 prisoners who were “imprisoned or against whom prison orders was issued, were released within the ninth edition of Fak Kurba initiative.
