Authorities continue to intensify inspection campaign in Oman

These inspections ensure the availability of basic commodities, price stability, and proper implementation of VAT.

MUSCAT: The judicial officers from Consumer Protection Authority in Masirah Wilayat continue to carry out the inspection campaign at various commercial, industrial and service establishment.

The inspection has been ongoing to ensure the availability of basic commodities, price stability, and proper implementation of value-added tax.

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has been inspecting various commercial markets in the country ahead of Ramadan. In a statement released in March 2022, CPA stated that it has followed up on the proper implementation of tax-exempt goods before the beginning of the month of Ramadan.

CPA also inspected several commercial centres in North Al Batinah. Muscat Municipality in Baushar, too, has intensified its inspection and control visits.
