MUSCAT: The Muscat Municipality issued a statement with regards to a video clip circulating online about discarding produce for sale in the central market for vegetables and fruits.
The Muscat Municipality said in its statement, “We would like to clarify that the crops that were destroyed were found to be unfit for human consumption.”
This effort on the part of the municipality is in line with the implementation of health safety regulations and is in the interest of the consumer.
