MUSCAT: The Khazaen Economic City, on Wednesday, signed an agreement with Opal for biopharmaceuticals and business company to establish a factory for the production of biological human vaccines.
The first phase of the OMR 20 million-worth plant will be set up on an area of 37,000 square metres.
The agreement was signed by Salim Al Thuhli, CEO of Khazaen, and Sa’ad Moosa Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Opal for biopharmaceuticals and business company.

The Khazaen Economic City CEO said that this vaccine manufacturing factory is the first of its kind in Khazaen Economic City, targeting local and international markets. The agreement comes as a part of the city’s efforts to attract local and international investments.
