MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has called on citizens and residents to abide by the decisions of the Supreme Committee charged with examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of COVID-19 regarding precautionary measures during the holy month of Ramadan.
ROP will be working in cooperation with the competent authorities charged to follow up on violators, stopping anyone who violates the decisions issued in this regard, and issuing violations according to the list of violations stipulated previously.
The authorities have called for adherence to the decisions of the Supreme Committee to preserve everyone’s health and to avoid any violation that may lead to the closure of non-compliant mosques and mosques, and calls for cooperation and reporting any violations by calling on 1099 within 24 hours.

Last Tuesday, the Supreme Committee had issued decisions that included limiting attendance to group prayers, including Tarawih prayers, to recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine, and prohibiting entry to the unvaccinated, including children under the age of twelve.
The committee also decided to continue the ban of charitable collective iftar tables (iftar fasting) in mosques, mosques and other public places and to continue working with preventive measures, such as wearing face masks, and physical distancing in closed places, including mosques and mosques.
