MUSCAT: Majlis Al Shura on Monday approved the proposed bill to repeal Article 32 of the Press and Publications Law.
The members of the Shura Council voted in favour of cancelling Article 32 and has now forwarded the bill to the State Council for approval.
What is Article 32 of Press and Publication Law: It is prohibited to publish any news, articles, pictures or documents whose publishing is banned by virtue of a decision issued by the Minister of Information, unless otherwise the authorization for publishing such information is granted by the same source.
