MUSCAT: His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority issued regulations (Decision No. 2022/262 ) to support craft industries, which included 20 subsidised craft industries.
According to the Official Gazette, the first article stipulated that works in the matter of supporting handicraft industries according to the provisions of the attached regulations.
The second article stipulated the cancellation of everything that contravenes the attached regulation or contravenes its provisions.

As for the third article, it stipulates the publication of this decision in the Official Gazette, and it shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication.
This decision was based on Royal Decree No. 107/2020 establishing the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, defining its terms of reference and approving its organisational structure, and the approval of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority Board of Directors.
