MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the twentieth edition of the Doha Forum on Saturday.
The two-day forum titled Transformation into a New Era was held in Doha, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman was headed by His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.

In the current edition, the forum focused on a number of themes, including geopolitical alliances, international relations, the financial system, economic development, defence, cyber security, food security, sustainability and climate change.
Additionally, a number of leaders, ministers, senior officials and academics from different countries of the world participated in the forum.
Oman’s Foreign Minister also held bilateral consultations with a number of heads of participating delegations from brotherly and friendly countries.

The Foreign Minister also held talks with Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, on the sidelines of his participation in the 20th Doha Forum.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement posted on its Twitter page that the discussions focused on developing brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and regional developments.
The two ministers have confirmed the continuation of work to expand cooperation in various fields, based on historical relations, which are moving effectively towards broader horizons, under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II.
During their meeting, the two ministers also discussed developments in the region, and a number of Arab issues, foremost of which are the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis, and the Yemeni crisis, and they affirmed the continuation of coordination in efforts to resolve regional crises and to strengthen joint Arab action in the service of Arab issues and interests.
