MUSCAT: With India lifting the ban on inbound and outbound international flights from the country on March 27, national airline Oman Air will resume operations to eight Indian cities, The Arabian Stories has learnt.
According to sources, Oman Air will operate flights to eight cities to Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
With flights operating regular services from Oman to India, ticket prices have also dropped significantly. “It’s indeed a huge relief for hundreds of people especially those who have not travelled in the last two years due to the pandemic,” said Sajan Thomas, a Muscat based engineer.

According to media reports, Kochi will see 1,600 flights in the upcoming summer schedule between March till October 29. “The airport (Kochi) will see at least 20 airlines operating to destinations abroad among which 16 are international carriers operating 261 weekly departures – and Oman Air is contributing 14 of such departures,” travel portal Simple Flying said.
