MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience to Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), at Bait Bahjat Al Andhar here today.
The Emirati official conveyed the greetings of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE to His Majesty the Sultan, along with the President’s best wishes of good health and happiness to His Majesty the Sultan. He also expressed Sheikh Khalifa’s wishes of further progress and welfare for the Omani people.
His Majesty the Sultan reciprocated the gesture, asking Sheikh Tahnoun to convey his best wishes of good health and happiness to Sheikh Khalifa. He also wished the UAE people further progress and prosperity.

During the audience, His Majesty and Sheikh Tahnoun discussed areas of bilateral cooperation in various spheres. They explored means of upgrading cooperation in a manner that better serves the interests of the two countries’ peoples. The meeting also touched on different matters of common concern.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, and Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office. While from the UAE side, it was attended by Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Said Al Neyadi, Chairman of the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and Jassem Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance.
