MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik said he will be meeting businessmen from the private sector, intellectuals and academicians.
Addressing the sheikhs from the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi in Bait Bahjat Al Anwar in the Wilayat of Sohar, His Majesty said: “We need to listen to everyone’s opinions and suggestions, the meeting will be complete only then.”
His Majesty also announced that an economic zone will be established in Rowdha in Wilayat Al Buraimi.

During the meeting, His Majesty said the government is working faster to reduce the state’s debt. “We will seek to exploit the high oil revenues as much as possible to get rid of the state’s public debt, and what is more than that will be spent on development projects implemented by the government,” he added.
