ABU DHABI: The Royal Cavalry was crowned the UAE Derby Cup after the horse Haroun won the fourth round of the UAE Derby Cup race.
The race was held at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club track and was designated for purebred Arabian horses over a distance of 2,200 metres.
The Royal Cavalry’s victory in the UAE Derby Cup, in which elite of the finest Arabian horse breeds participated in the competition, came through the strong and distinguished performance of the horse, Haroun.

Haroun rushed in the last meters of the back rows with strength and competed with the advanced horses and surpassed them, led by jockey Anthony Friso and supervised by coach Ibrahim Al-Hadrami.
The horse “Molhami”, owned by Salem Al-Murr, led by jockey Taj Osheh and supervised by coach Abu Bakr Daoud, came in third place, and the horse “Sultana”, owned by Athbah for the races, led by jockey Fernando Jara and supervised by coach Mohamed Daghash.
