MUSCAT: More than 200 expat investors of various nationalities received long-term residency in the last six months.
The long-term residency was introduced by the government in October 2021. “Since the beginning of the program in October 2021 until March 16, 2022, a total of 217 residency cards were issued to expats of various nationalities,” Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotions said.
According to the ministry, 142 investors received 10-year visas, while 73 investors received 5-year residency cards and two people received in the retired category.
