MUSCAT: The Oman Coast Guard rescued 14 people after a fire engulfed their boat in mid-sea off the Dhalkut coast in Dhofar Governorate.
In a statement issued, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said the search operation is continuing for one of the crew members who went missing during the incident.
“All 14 people are Asian nationality and all of them are in good health. Coordination was also made with the Environment Authority to avoid any environmental damage,” ROP added.

ROP said it received a report from a citizen after he saw the fire at sea, “after which the Coast Guard police boats moved to the site.”
