MUSCAT: The decision to activate new paid parking system in Ruwi, Al Khuwair and Al Khoud have been suspended until further notice, the Muscat Municipality has confirmed on Sunday.
The Municipality had earlier decided to start paid system in parking slots surrounding the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Ruwi, the parking spaces adjacent to Sultan Qaboos Street in the southern Al Khuwair and opposite commercial buildings, the parking lots of the new Souq Al Khoudh, and the parking spaces located behind the “Ooredoo Hall” from March 6. However, this decision stands suspended and these areas would still have free parking till further notice, the Municipality clarified.
