MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Thursday said Oman is closely following up with “great concern” the Ukraine crisis and urged both Russia and Ukraine to return to diplomacy.
Presiding over the cabinet meeting on Thursday, His Majesty the Sultan said both parties should resort to dialogue and peaceful negotiations on the basis of the United Nations Charter. “Sultanate of Oman is following up with great concern and regret the outcome of the Ukrainian crisis. They should return to diplomacy and resort to dialogue and peaceful negotiations between the parties to the crisis on the basis of the United Nations Charter,” Oman TV said in a statement.
