MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik on Thursday directed the authorities to reduce some fees related to the labour sector.
Presiding over the Council of Ministers meeting, His Majesty said it is important to “activate the investment environment” in the country. “Based on the follow up on commercial and industrial activities and the conditions of private sector, His Majesty has directed to reduce some fees related to the labour sector,” Oman News Agency said in a statement.
Last week, His Excellency Professor Mahad Bin Said Bin Ali Baawain, Minister of Labour said the government has reviewed the expatriate visa fees and the result will be announced soon.
