MUSCAT: Dr Yassin bin Ahmed Al-Mulla, Associate Professor of Biosystems Engineering and Director of the Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems Research Center at Sultan Qaboos University, has received a project to develop a constellation of nano-satellites, which was organised by the International Society for Geosciences and Remote Sensing of the Affiliate.

Dr Yassin Al-Mulla said, “The project is divided into two parts. The first starts with building a nano-satellite model with different payloads with a radio communication system supported by ground equipment.
The second phase will be the satellite launch phase, which is a great opportunity to build national capabilities in the field of space and satellites.
