MUSCAT: More than 11,000 applications were submitted in 2021 for registration of trademarks, patents and copyright with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
In a statement issued the Ministry said the number of applications for national and international trademarks, patents, copyright and related rights, industrial designs and models, and international applications reached 11,811 in 2021 compared to 10,151 in 2020.
The Ministry said that these applications were 11,121 for national and international trademarks, 30 for industrial designs, 111 for copyright, and 549 for national and international patents.
