MUSCAT: His Excellency Dr. Mahad Baween, Minister of Labour has stated that a request to study raising the minimum wage has been put forth.
He said at the Ministry of Labor’s media conference, “This matter requires a great effort and includes market studies and other things that must be looked at, such as the state of the economy, as well as the effects of the pandemic on it.”
Earlier there was a demand to raise the minimum wage, which currently stands at OMR 325.
