MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour has completed a review regarding the fees that is currently charged for issuance of work visas for expatriates.
Speaking to the media, His Excellency Professor Mahad Bin Said Bin Ali Baawain, Minister of Labour said work visa fee review will be announced soon. “We have completed the review on visa fees and it will be announced within few weeks,” the Minister informed.
Regarding the new Labour Law, the Minister said it is in the final stages and has reached the Council of Ministers for approval.

Meanwhile, the Ministry received OMR 233 million in 2021 as revenues from licensing fees.
