Oman’s oil price sets new record, exceeds over $96 per barrel

MUSCAT: The price of Oman oil witnessed an increase of $4.3, bringing the official price of Oman oil for delivery next April to $96.51 dollars, compared to its price on Monday ($92.24).

Rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia have sent jitters through markets, driving oil prices higher and setting a new record for the first time in seven years. On Monday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered forces into two breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine and said he would recognize the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk.
