MUSCAT: More than 270,000 Omanis are now working in the private sector by the end of January 2022, according to the statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
According to NCSI, the number of Omani workers in the private sector has increased significantly compared to 266,799 employees in January 2021.
NCSI also said the rate of job seekers in the country has increased from 1.9% at the end of December 2021 to 2.2% at the end of January 2022. “The age group of 15-24 years constitutes the majority among job seekers with a rate of 16.9%,” NCSI added.
