MUSCAT: Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman, on Monday morning, received Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, Chief of the Emiri Naval Staff of the State of Qatar, and the accompanying military delegation at his office in Camp Al Murtafa. The delegation is currently on a visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
And upon the arrival of the Qatari guest, the headquarters of the Royal Omani Navy in Camp Al Murtafa, a group of honour guards gave the military salute. The Rear Admiral, the Naval Staff, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman, welcomed the Qatari guest and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a good visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the existing areas of maritime cooperation between the Royal Navy of Oman and the Emiri Navy in the State of Qatar were reviewed, in addition to exchanging views on a number of matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers of the Royal Navy of Oman and the military attaché at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Muscat.

The delegation also visited the Maritime Security Center at the centre’s headquarters where they was received by the acting head of the Maritime Security Center. Qatar’s Emiri Naval Forces chief and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the various roles and efforts of the centre concerned with preserving the safety of the marine environment in the territorial waters.
