MUSCAT: The villages of Jabal Shams are famous for the cultivation of many seasonal fruits such as peach and apricot trees due to the mild temperatures in the summer and cold in the winter.
The production of the apricot tree ranges between 20 kilograms and 100 kilograms and more, depending on the age, season, and abundance of water in the area.

The farms and terraces in Jabal Shams are covered in the white-coloured flowers of apricot, and the whitish-pink-coloured flowers of peach. These flowers give a unique aesthetic feel of the place for visitors to cherish. These scenic views continue until the fruit picking period during the months of April and May of each year.
