MUSCAT: The second stage of The Tour of Oman 2022 starts in front of Al-Naseem Park in the Wilayat of Barka and ends at the beach of the Wilayat of Sohar for a distance of 167.5 km.
The event is organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, with the participation of Oman National Cycling team and 18 international teams represented by 126 participants from Europe, Asia, America and Australia. The race will last for six days with a total length of 891 kilometres divided in six stages.
Saif Al Rushaidi, Chairman of Oman Cycling Association said that the 11th version of The Tour of Oman 2022 will enjoy global media coverage and follow-up, as there are 15 international photography agencies, five specialised international newspapers, 35 international television channels, four international news agencies, and 17 specialised international journalists who will report the events of The Tour during its six stages.

He added that there will be global television broadcast for 275 hours. Oman’s tourist and heritage treasures and landmarks will enjoy a 60% coverage during The Tour’s stages.
