MUSCAT: A’Rustaq Fort in the Wilayat of A’Rustaq will witness the launch of the first stage of the 11th edition of The Tour of Oman 2022.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, with the participation of Oman National Cycling team and 18 international teams represented by 126 participants from Europe, Asia, America and Australia. The race will last for 6 days with a total length of 891 kilometers divided in 6 stages.
Saif Al Rushaidi, Chairman of Oman Cycling Association said that the 11th version of The Tour of Oman 2022 will enjoy global media coverage and follow-up, as there are 15 international photography agencies, 5 specialized international newspapers, 35 international television channels, 4 international news agencies, and 17 specialized international journalists who will report the events of The Tour during its six stages. He added that there will be global television broadcast for 275 hours. Oman’s tourist and heritage treasures and landmarks will enjoy a 60% coverage during The Tour’s stages.
