Oman Airports publishes update on travel procedures

All travellers have been advised to observe travel, safety and health procedures.

MUSCAT: Oman Airports published the latest updates on travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

The updated procedures have been categorised broadly under ‘arrival in Oman’ and ‘departure from Oman’. While preparing to travel to or from Oman, the steps mentioned on Oman Airports website will serve as a guide that travellers can refer to.

The vaccines approved in Oman include two doses of (Pfizer BioNTech, Oxford AstraZeneca, Covishield AstraZeneca, Sputnik, Sinovac, Moderna, and Sinopharm, or (one dose of Johnson & Johnson). The final dose should be taken at least 14 days before the time of arrival. The Ministry of Health constantly publishes the list of approved vaccines in the Sultanate of Oman.

All travellers coming to Oman must have international health insurance that covers the cost of treatment for COVID-19 for at least one month, except for Omani citizens, citizens of GCC countries and travellers with free treatment cards. Passengers under the age of 18 and travellers with medically confirmed health conditions that prevent them from receiving vaccination are exempted from submitting a COVID-19 vaccine certificate and a PCR examination certificate.

Oman Airports has also have implemented all the necessary protective measures in the terminal buildings and at security checkpoints in addition to all company facilities in order to ensure the health and safety of passengers and employees and to limit the spread of the COVID-19. All travellers have been advised to observe travel, safety and health procedures.
