MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour amended some provisions of the regulations for occupational safety and health measures in establishments. Companies subject to the Labour Law must appoint an Omani supervisor to oversee occupational health and safety for every 50 workers or employees by January 2022.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labour has emphasised the need to comply with the aforementioned decision to all establishments and companies employing 50 workers or employees. Companies can benefit from various support funding opportunities provided by the ministry for training programs associated with employment or on-the-job training in coordination with Oman Society for Petroleum Services.
