Royal Filiment project wins regional and international awards

The project was patented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

MUSCAT: The Royal Filiment project has won many awards at the local, regional and international levels.

Innovator Manar bint Hamad Al-Juhouriah, a student at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al-Musanna and the CEO of Plamour said that the Royal Filiment project aims to find a solution to the carbon-plastic problem. The project involves in making ink for 3D printers from marine algae.

She added that the project has qualified among 20 companies in the Arab world for the final stage in the innovation competition in coronavirus, and represented the Sultanate in the Stars of Science competition.

She has indicated that the project was patented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, as well as a product health test from Sultan Qaboos University and a product test from Anotek and 3D factory.
